Sperm development takes place in several phases. At the beginning, special cells (spermatogonia) divide several times to form primary spermatocytes. These are then divided by so-called meiotic division, which gives rise to secondary spermatocytes. These are further divided by meiotic division to form spermatids, which do not divide further, but rather mature (spermiogenesis) and form a flagellum. The entire process of development from spermatogonia to differentiated sperm takes up to 74 days. Final maturation occurs only in the epididymis, where the sperm remain for another 12 days. Therefore, the effect of substances affecting all phases of spermatogenesis only becomes apparent after approximately 86 days of their use. A healthy male sex cell – sperm (spermatozoon) – covers a distance of approximately 15 to 20 cm to the egg in at least 45 minutes to 1 hour. The fertilizing ability of sperm (the ability to fertilize an egg) does not last longer than 3 days. The egg is ready for fertilization approximately 24 hours after ovulation. This also implies the timing of sexual intercourse according to the date of ovulation of the partner, ideally in the interval from two days before to two days after ovulation. Yarilo® Man PLATINUM is suitable for the period when you are trying to conceive a child. It contains inositol, which is a natural part of the ejaculate. Folate in Yarilo® Man PLATINUM is 100% already in a biologically active form. Unlike ordinary folic acid, it is therefore immediately effective in the body and does not have to be metabolized into an active form using the MTHFR enzyme. Folate is involved in cell division, including sex cells, and contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism
