Strepsils Menthol and Eucalyptus tablets are recommended for the treatment and relief of symptoms of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis), accompanied by nasal congestion.
It belongs to a group of medicines called antiseptics.
It is characterized by pronounced antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral properties, helps with nasal congestion.
The effect appears in the first 5 minutes and lasts up to 2 hours after taking the drug.
Dosage and method of administration
Recommended dosage:
Adults and children over 6 years of age: one tablet is dissolved slowly over 2-3 hours;
The tablets are left in the mouth until completely dissolved, without chewing or swallowing whole. They are taken between meals.
As with other similar medications, the lozenges should be repositioned in the mouth until they dissolve to avoid the risk of local irritation.
Do not exceed the recommended dose (maximum 8 lozenges in 24 hours).
To avoid the risk of choking, Strepsils Menthol and Eucalyptus should only be given to children who can hold the lozenge in their mouth unattended while it slowly dissolves.
Treatment should not continue for more than 5 days, as this may lead to an imbalance of the oral microbial flora and the risk of bacterial or fungal infection.
