Medicinal form. Spray.
The main physical and chemical properties: a colorless or slightly yellow transparent liquid with a characteristic alcohol smell, which is in a cylinder with a pump-type valve. The medicine is sprayed in the form of a dispersed jet when leaving the cylinder.
Indication.
Pediculosis (head, pubic).
Contraindication.
Hypersensitivity to permethrin and to auxiliary substances of the medicinal product.
Increased sensitivity to plants of the chrysanthemum genus or other plants of the Compositae family.
Violation of skin integrity, inflammatory processes and secondary skin infections.
Period of pregnancy or breastfeeding. Children’s age up to 3 years.
It is not recommended to use Permethrin in patients with bronchial asthma, obstructive bronchitis, including those with a history, due to the risk of bronchospasm when inhaling the drug.
Method of application and dosage.
Externally. Press the spray head and spray the Permethrin on the hair, rubbing it into the roots of the hair. When spraying Permethrin, the edge of the sprayer must be kept at a distance of 3 cm from the hair.
After processing, Permethrin should be left on the hair for 10-40 minutes (the head can be covered with a handkerchief), then thoroughly washed with warm running water with soap or shampoo and dried in the usual way. After washing hair, comb with a thick comb to remove dead parasites; if live lice are detected, repeat the treatment before the next hair wash or after 7 days.
Consumption of Permethrin, depending on the thickness and length of the hair — from 10 ml to 60 ml.
For pubic pediculosis, spray the spray with short presses on the spray head until the entire hairy part of the pubic area is completely covered.
After 30 minutes, wash the treated areas with soap and rinse thoroughly with water.
Children.
Do not use in children under 3 years of age.
Adverse reactions.
From the side of the immune system: allergic reactions, including skin rashes and swelling.
Local effects: burning sensation, tingling or pinching, numbness of the skin, increased itching, erythema, pain, eczema.
