NICORET INVIZIPEC belongs to a group of drugs used to stop smoking, such as nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).
NICORET INVIZIPEC is used to treat tobacco dependence in smokers who want to quit smoking by minimizing the need to light a cigarette and reducing the difficulties smokers experience when trying to quit smoking (eg, headache, insomnia, anxiety).
When you quit smoking, your body does not receive the nicotine from tobacco, and therefore you may experience an unpleasant sensation called withdrawal symptoms. With the help of pure (therapeutic) nicotine from NICORET INVISIPECH you can avoid these unpleasant syndromes.
NICORET INVIZIPEC transdermal patch does not contain life-threatening substances such as tar and carbon monoxide found in cigarette smoke. NICORET INVIZIPECH contains nicotine in its pure form, which is absorbed by the skin in 16 hours and replaces the nicotine that the smoker receives from cigarette smoke.
Dosage and method of administration

On the day you start treatment, you should stop smoking completely, so your last cigarette will be the day before you apply the patch to your skin. Do not smoke during treatment.
Treatment begins with higher-dose patches and then gradually progresses to patches with lower amounts of nicotine.
Treatment with Nicorette Clear usually lasts 12 weeks.
Highly dependent smokers should begin treatment with the 25 mg/16 hour patch, using one patch for 8 weeks.
Taper tapering should then begin: one 15 mg/16 hour patch daily for 2 weeks, followed by one 10 mg/16 hour patch daily for 2 weeks.
Low-dependency smokers begin treatment with a dose of 15 mg/16 hours for 8 weeks and gradually reduce the dose to 10 mg/16 hours over the last 4 weeks.
Nicorette Clear should be applied to the skin in the morning and removed before bed. The resorption period is 16 hours, so the need for smoking is covered and sleep is not disturbed.
The patch should be applied once a day to a clean, undamaged area of skin on the thigh, armpit or chest. To avoid skin irritation, these patches should be changed daily and the same area should not be used for multiple days in a row.
In general, use of Nicorette Clear for more than 6 months is not recommended.
