Levosyn ointment tuba 40 g

Storage:

active substances: chloramphenicol, sulfadimethoxine, methyluracil, trimecaine;

1 g of ointment contains: chloramphenicol – 10 mg, sulfadimethoxine – 40 mg, methyluracil – 40 mg, trimecaine – 30 mg;

auxiliary substances: polyethylene glycol 400, polyethylene glycol 1500.

Medicinal form. Ointment.

Main physicochemical properties: white ointment with a yellowish tint.
Indication.

Purulent wounds (including those infected with mixed microflora) in the first (purulent-necrotic) phase of the wound process.

Contraindication.

Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, psoriasis, eczema, fungal skin lesions.
Method of application and dosage.

Apply locally. Cover the ointment with sterile napkins, which are used to fill the wound loosely after its standard treatment (mechanical removal of necrotic tissues, washing with hydrogen peroxide solution). It is possible to inject the drug into purulent cavities through a catheter (drainage tube) using a syringe. In these cases, the drug should first be heated to 35–36 °C. Dressings should be done every day until the wound is completely cleaned.

Children.

There are no data on the safety of the drug for children. Do not use the drug for children.

Overdose.

External use of the drug in recommended doses does not cause overdose. With long-term and frequent use of the ointment, the appearance and intensification of the described adverse reactions are possible. If side reactions occur, stop using the ointment and consult a doctor. Further treatment is symptomatic.

Adverse reactions.

When using the drug, the development of allergic reactions is possible, including skin rashes, itching, dermatitis, burning, hyperemia, angioedema, urticaria. In this case, you should stop using the ointment and consult a doctor.

Expiration date.

2 years.

Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
