The composition of the medicinal product:

active substances: paracetamol, acetylsalicylic acid, caffeine;

1 tablet contains paracetamol 325 mg, acetylsalicylic acid 160 mg, caffeine 65 mg;

excipients: pregelatinized starch, povidone, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, silicon dioxide colloidal anhydrous, calcium stearate.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Analgesics and antipyretics. Acetylsalicylic acid, combinations without psycholeptics.

Citramon Maxi is a combined drug. Acetylsalicylic acid has an antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect, reduces pain, especially caused by the inflammatory process, and also inhibits the aggregation of platelets and blood clots, improves microcirculation in the focus of inflammation. Paracetamol has an analgesic, antipyretic and very weak anti-inflammatory effect, which is associated with its effect on the center of thermoregulation in the hypothalamus and a weak ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins in peripheral tissues.

Caffeine increases the reflex excitability of the spinal cord, excites the respiratory and vasomotor centers, expands the blood vessels of bone muscles, brain, heart, kidneys, reduces the aggregation of platelets; reduces drowsiness, fatigue, increases mental and physical performance. In this combination, caffeine in a small dose has practically no stimulating effect on the central nervous system, but contributes to the normalization of the tone of brain vessels and the acceleration of blood flow.

The combination of acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol potentiates the analgesic effect of the combination in a ratio of 1:4 to the initial level. Both the analgesic and antipyretic effects of acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol increase when combined with caffeine.
Indications for use.

Symptomatic treatment of pain syndrome of various origins: headache or toothache, pain in primary dysmenorrhea; migraine, arthralgia, myalgia, neuralgia, especially diseases of inflammatory origin (frontitis, sinusitis), rheumatic diseases, diseases accompanied by hyperthermia of various etiologies (as an antipyretic).
Contraindication.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Acute peptic ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, history of gastrointestinal bleeding, acute pancreatitis.

Bronchial asthma caused by the use of salicylates or NSAIDs in the anamnesis.

Disorders in the blood coagulation system: hemorrhagic diseases (hemophilia, hemorrhagic diathesis).

Suppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis (leukopenia, anemia, including
hemolytic), acute hematoporphyria.

Pronounced liver and/or kidney failure.

Deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

Combination with methotrexate in a dosage of 15 mg/week or more (see section “Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions”).

Combination with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors and within 2 weeks after
stopping the use of MAO inhibitors (see the section “Interaction with other drugs and other types of interactions”.

Increased excitability, insomnia, thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, epilepsy, hyperthyroidism, arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, organic diseases of the cardiovascular system, decompensated heart failure, cardiac conduction disorders, coronary heart disease, prostate hypertrophy, severe forms of diabetes, old age, glaucoma (due to the presence of caffeine in the tablet).
Expiration date. 2 years. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging out of the reach of children at a temperature not higher than 25 °C.

Packaging. 6 tablets in a contour blister pack, 1, 2 or 20 contour blister packs in a pack.
