DescriptionnAntidol 15 is a medicinal product for short-term use in pain of various origins (headache, after tooth extraction, osteoarticular pain, menstrual pain).nnCompositionnThe active substances are: codeine phosphate and paracetamol.nn1 tablet contains 15 mg of codeine phosphate and 500 mg of paracetamol as Compap L 90%, composed of: paracetamol, gelatinized corn starch, stearic acid, povidone, crospovidone.nnExcipients: microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.nnDosagenAlways use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.nnAdults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1-2 tablets every 6 hours up to 4 times a day (maximum 6 tablets a day).nnThe maximum daily dose of paracetamol should not exceed 3 g, and codeine should not exceed 240 mg.nThe medicine should be taken after a meal with plenty of fluid.nThe medicine should not be taken for longer than 3 days. If the pain does not subside after 3 days, consult a doctor.nDosage in people with severe renal impairment: in people with severe renal impairment, the interval between doses of the drug should be at least 8 hours.nnDosage in people with impaired liver function: people with impaired liver function or Gilbert’s syndrome should use the drug at a lower dose or extend the intervals between subsequent doses of the drug.nnActionnAntidol has antipyretic and analgesic properties. The analgesic effect lasts for about 4 hours.nnIndicationsnpain of medium and severe intensity, of various origins, e.g. headache, pain after tooth extraction, osteoarticular pain (including post-traumatic pain), post-traumatic pain of soft tissues, menstrual pain,nacute pain of moderate intensity that does not improve with treatment with other painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.nContraindicationsnYou should not use Antidol:nnin case of hypersensitivity to paracetamol, codeine, opioids or any of the excipients,nif you have severe liver and kidney failure,nin case of alcoholism, respiratory failure,nif the patient is using MAO inhibitors and during and 2 weeks after their discontinuation,nin case of congenital deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, methemoglobin reductase, hemolytic anemia,nif a woman is breastfeeding,nin people under 12 years of age,nafter removal of the palatine and/or adenoid in children and adolescents (up to 18 years of age) as part of the treatment of obstructive apnea syndrome,nin case of rapid metabolism involving the CYP2D6 enzyme.nSide effectsnLike all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.nnCommon side effects (affects 1 to 10 in 100 people):nnfatigue, dizziness, headaches,ndecreased blood pressure,nnausea, vomiting, constipation.nUncommon side effects (affects 1 to 10 in 1,000 people):nnsleep disorders,nrash, itching, skin redness, hives.nRare side effects (affects 1 to 10 in 10,000 people):nnblurred vision,nTinnitus,ndyspnoea,ndry mouth,nallergic eczema.,
