It is made from 100% plants: natural wood fiber, cornstarch and resin. It does not contain any pesticides, petroleum components, phthalates, BPS, BPA and the silicone used is latex-free. No plastic aftertaste. The natural fiber used in the Ecoffee Cup is a recycled product.
The caps and sleeves are made of pure food-grade silicone using oxygen and silica (sand) as the base material. They are suitable for use at high temperatures up to +120°C.
It has a resealable “no-drip” cap so you can take it anywhere.
The elegant silicone ring on the outside of the cup is not just for decoration. It primarily serves as thermal insulation, thanks to which the cup will not burn your hand.
Recommended temperatures:
Maximum beverage temperature: +100˚C/212˚F
Microwave heating: Max 800W/ 40 sec. Before using in the microwave, remove the lid but put on the silicone sleeve.
Since July 2019, Ecoffee Cups sold in black boxes can be used in the microwave.
Note: The cup will be hot after removing from the microwave. The mug is dishwasher safe.

Recommendation:
Unlike many PP or PET-based products, our cup should never emit odors or retain taste. We recommend washing the cup thoroughly before use and not leaving beverage residue in it for a long time.
The lids are made of silicone, which is a chemically inert substance, meaning that unlike some petrochemical plastics (PET, PP), it should never emit an odor. However, it can absorb some odors. That’s why we always recommend washing the lids and sleeves in the dishwasher (top rack, removed from the mug). Also, make sure to avoid storing or washing with metal or common polypropylene plastic items such as storage containers or other plastic cups.
The products are regularly tested in Europe by independent testing institutes Intertek and TUV Rheinland to comply with EU (LFGB) food contact regulations (EC) No. 1935/2004 and (EC) No. 10/2011. and above the regulations to ensure that the Ecoffee cup is suitable for regular use at temperatures of +100˚C.
